I individually create each one of these.
Each composition is produced on a 12" X 18" sheet of the finest water color art paper. The dimension of each composition dictates that their size vary on each piece of paper.
Arnold, our master book binder (no overstatement here) has designed a shipping container for the prints. He makes them individually for each piece. In construction they are similar to large heavy weight book bindings. The were designed to be shipping containers, as well as elegant storage containers while you consider your framing strategy. They are also superb display folios for the pieces.
As with all of our limited edition products, whether books or art, these take some time to produce. Please allow me about 6 to 8 weeks for production and shipment. Each is finished when I am completely satisfied.
And yes, there is a story behind each composition. For example the red print directly about is called Bumpin' Along with Bracco. This composition was produced to express the jarring drive of Giovanni Bracco up and over the futa pass in the 1952 Mille Miglia. It was on this stretch of road that the rally driver, not normally a member of the Ferrari team, took a quickly modified three-liter prototype, the 250S, into the clouds and fog as if a man possessed. When he reappeared, with cigarette in mouth and flask of brandy at the ready, he had beaten Neubauer's well-prepared and well-practiced Mercedes team, and launched a line of cars that would take Enzo Ferrari from race car fabricator to industrialist.
It goes without saying that each piece of artwork is signed and numbered.
